Artful Advent is over for 2021, but sign up here to receive Marina’s newsletter about looking at your life like a work of art:

Hello friend,

In this Advent series, we will explore easy ways for parents of little children to nourish themselves in a busy season by looking at their lives like art.

You’ll get four emails, one each Sunday of Advent starting on November 28. Each letter will include a simple mindfulness practice centered around that week’s Advent theme: hope, peace, joy, and love. You don’t need an art history degree, just curiosity and open eyes.

This will not be another thing to add to your overflowing to-do list; rather, it will be simple shifts to how you look at your ordinary days, using techniques taken from looking at art in a museum.

As the mom of a toddler, I’ve been craving a way to take care of myself that I can easily weave into my daily life. I’ve been clinging to these four practices to feel sustained in the chaotic season of parenting a little one. I’m in this with you.

My hope for these emails is that they will offer parents an easy way to feel held and encouraged as they do the important and demanding work of caring for young kids.

Looking forward to spending the next four weeks with you,
