NEW EXHIBITIONS
I am so excited about the exhibition on contemporary stained glass windows at the Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine. The Musée Cognacq-Jay's exhibition on 'exotic' 18th century beverages looks like fun, and its mobile app features recipes from that era. There are also quite a few photography exhibitions opening up.
Musée des Arts et Métiers (Paris 3e): This exhibition explores the ties between contemporary design and the history of inventions.
Jeu de Paume (Paris 8e): For over one year, Khvay Samnang repeatedly returned to Rattanakiri, Cambodia’s northeastern highland province, to survey the altered environment—from the remaining villages to the strategic clearings, from rubber tree saplings to mature plantations.
Jeu de Paume (Paris 8e): Valérie Jouve's photographic and film work is rooted in the alchemy between bodies and space, humanity and the urban landscape.
CLOSING SOON
The extraordinary Poussin exhibition at the Louvre closes this month, as do two exhibitions at the Grand Palais (including one on the Birth of Cinema). The exhibition at the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature on the dialogue between tapestry and taxidermy also looks interesting.
Grand Palais (Paris 8e): This exhibition presents 60 emblematic works from the SFMOMA and the Fisher collection (one of the world’s largest private modern and contemporary art collections, now curated by the museum).
Musée du Louvre (Paris 1er): In tandem with “Poussin and God,” this exhibition will highlight the iconophilia of papal Rome and the minor-key version of the French School, between 1580 and 1660.
Musée du Louvre (Paris 1er): To mark the 350th anniversary of the artist's death in 1665, this exhibition sets out to review possible Christian readings of Poussin's painting and one of his signature features: his merging of the antique and Christian notions of the sacred.

Grand Palais (Paris 8e): On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the invention of the cinematograph, the Institut Lumière has organised an unprecedented exhibition dedicated to the flagship inventions of the Lyon-based pioneers of cinema, Louis and Auguste Lumière.

Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature (Paris 3e): This exhibition explores the possible dialogues between the art of the tapestry (especially those from the Royal Manufacture of Beauvais) and the contemporary art of taxidermy.

Musée du quai Branly (Paris 7e): Through the portraits of the Inca Atahualpa and the Conquistador Francisco Pizarro, the exhibition presents the key events in the conquest of the Inca Empire and describes the encounter between two worlds.
